:: [ SVVS Visit to Brooklands at the invitation of JEC - July 2012 ] ::

Our Member Peter Clark is also the past Chairman of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Surrey Region, who meet at the Brooklands Motor Museum. Just like last year the JEC Regional Committee extended an invitation to the SVVS to join them at their Thursday July meeting in their oldies and to display them along with JEC Jaguars.

About a dozen proper SVVS cars, including some moderns, attended a superb evening. Cars included the Secretarial Opel, the Bracey cheesegrater, the Tester hotrod and the Ireland pozerroller. The Mohaceks and Gossets arrived appropriately in a bevvie of Jaguars, XKR and XK150.

During the evening Peter arranged for both sets of club members to have an unrestricted wander in the car museum, the motorcycle museum and the bicycle museum. After more than adequate time to slowly peruse and photograph all the exhibits, everybody retired to the splendid Brooklands Members Bar for a glass of pop and a chat. Many Thanks to JEC for a superb evening and many thanks to Brooklands for opening the exhibits!
