:: [ SVVS Christmas Party - Hand in Hand, December 2002 ] ::

A new event was added this year to the SVVS calendar. SVVS meetings take place on the last Wednesday of every month which would make the December meeting during the Christmas period. Normally the next meeting would have been on New Year's Day but this year a it was decided to hold a social event during December to which ladies may be happy to come without  having to either listen to boring talks on old cars or having to stand in drafty car parks watching husbands kicking tyres. Messrs Picnic Organisers were in charge so lovely grub was laid on and great fun was had by all including Santa Claus who kept being asked for those hard to get spares. None in Lapland. Sleighs don't use them ! The evening was rounded off by Tony Russell auctioning a painting of a lovely trolleybus street scene donated by Mike Fay, the proceeds of which went to the McMillan Nurses charity.                                                   Please Click on thumbnails to see larger picture.
