This must have been the worst attended Surrey Vintage Vehicle Society Meeting ever as not one single Vintage car was there. Our Publicity Officer explained his attendance to the other two Committee Members who were standing there in the howling wind and pouring rain as,  " This either shows total dedication to the Society, ... or total lunacy! "

The only car present  that is mentioned in our Vehicle Register, and then only under the 'interesting younger vehicles' category, was my 1984 Jaguar XJS.   Fellow Committee Member Malcolm Bailey was in his weatherproof Mazda Coupe, and Publicity Officer Tony Russell in his rather fast Dagenham Jellymould.

One other Member came in an 'interesting' vehicle, this being Will How in this 'for sale' 1995 Lancia Kappa with an Alfa Romeo based V6 engine.

Two other Members and their ladies also came, but in Moderns; -  a gross total of only five members.

Most disappointing!
