[ SVVS at the Blindley Heath Country Show - May
2006 ] ::
This was an invitation event where the SVVS was asked
to provide some interesting cars for the Vintage Cars Paddock on the Saturday
and the Sunday. However the SVVS, being free spirits, were notable
by their almost total absence. On the Saturday Mike Erroll was there for
a short while with his XK120 and Bozi Mohacek stayed most of the day
with the Rolls Royce Shooting Brake. Otherwise no other SVVS
members. There were a number of other Classics there as well as some
interesting Land Rovers. Photos are by Bozi Mohacek. Please click on any thumbnail picture below to

The event took place at
Osney Lodge Farm and included a Real Ale Bar, Pig on a Spit, Ferret
Racing, the Surrey and Burstow Hunt, Birds of Prey Display, Dog Agility
Display and a total of some 60 Trade Stands. It was the first time this
event had taken place and hence it was not overly packed. On the Sunday
the SVVS was having a meeting at the Black Horse so again, the SVVS was
notable by their absence. However in the afternoon after the meeting
Bozi Mohacek paid a visit again in the Rolls Royce Shooting Brake and
was subsequently joined by Messrs Derek Wright in the Rover 110 and
Messrs Bob Drew in the Morris Minor. Shortly after they were also joined
by Michel Gosset in the XK150. There was some tasty food and ale
on offer so the afternoon passed off comfortably.
