:: [ S V V S Visit to the Shuttleworth Military Pageant Airshow - July 2012 ] :: Our visit to the 2012 Shuttleworth Military Pageant Airshow had been long in planning and was our first coach outing after a number of years. It was organised by our Hon Treasurer Robin Vince who apart from being a vintage car nut, is a vintage motorcycle nut, and is also a vintage flying nut with his own plane. On arrival at Shuttleworth we were told that we would not be able to come in as there had been an 'incident'. We were not told what the incident was but that the show was cancelled and that we would have to leave. We were allowed to use the loo facilities before departure but had to be out in 15 minutes. Some of us therefore took the opportunity to rush round the hangars looking at what would have been on offer and took some pickies. Apart from vintage airplanes there were quite a few vintage cars. When we left soon after we were still not aware of what had happened, nor why we were being moved on. It is therefore under these circumstances that we took the photos and and are including them below. It was not until the following day that the facts came out in the press.
