view of the ban on public meetings, the Coronavirus has put paid to the
normal range of Surrey Vintage Vehicle Society outside and inside
gatherings. We have therefore encouraged all our members to take
photographs instead of any of their allowable distancing machinery and
share them on our website. Many of our Members are of the 'elderly
variety' so were hankered deep down thinking of survival rather than
escape, but some have been excercising their cars in very small select
covid-secure ways and some have even been 'socially cycling', and
some
have even sent reports and photos to us. ALL
WRITE-UPS and PHOTOS WELCOME !!

The
Star in Lingfield would normally have been our 20th of September Outside Venue
which signals that the 'summer season' is drawing to a close, which is a bit of
a shame, - but not as much of a shame as that it did not actually ever start at
all !! This year, about a month late, on 19th October our intrepid group of
old-timers including Andrew Randall, Michael Harwood, Paul Devitt, John Worrell
and Chas Moody took the opportunity to exercise their steeds in a Covid-compliant
way to Lingfield and to the Star where the weather was great. The sky was blue and
the sun shone brilliantly, and where otherwise the car park was relatively full.
