Treasure Hunt was organised by Julia Tester (below left) and commenced at The Fox & Hounds on Tilburstow Hill,  hosted by landlady Ellie (above) who provided the teas and coffees !

The Treasure Hunt is  a case of driving to a specified location, parking, and walking to find the answers to clues defined on the questionnaire. The first set of clues were to be found at the Tilburstow Hill viewing point, which indeed does have a fantastic view.

The second set of clues were to be found in Church Lane, Old Godstone (Saxon village of Wolcnested, later Walkingstead) including St Nicholas Church, which was holding a service.

The third set of clues were to be found in Old Oxted including the question of how many pubs are in that street.

The fourth set of clues were to be found around Godstone Green which was at this time hosting the annual visiting Fun Fare.

The fifth set of clues were to be found around the Outwood Mill which just happened to hosting a very serious swarm of buzzing bees cycle road race.
