Surrey Vintage Vehicle Society caters for veteran cars, vintage cars & classic cars, as well as commercials and motorcycles.

  Joe is currently based in  Beijing, China and has been visiting the local car museums. He had recently been to the "The Military Museum of the Chinese People’s Revolution" in Beijing and took a photo of two cars.  The description plate besides the cars read "Hong Qi (Red Flag) cars used by Chairman Mao & Premier Zhou". One car was out was a ZIS 110, but the other remained un-named. After much investigation we eventually determined it was a Czechoslovak Skoda VOS-L Special Limousine.

Joe has subsequently visited the impressive Luo Wenyou Classic Car Museum which has  been open to the public since May 2009. It houses about  160  cars, many of Chinese origin including a number of government parade Hong Qi cars. It was started by a private antique car collector who sold his multi-million dollar transport business to finance his hobby. 

 Joe has kindly sent a collection of photos of these cars. Unfortunately we are not very conversant with Chinese cars so we are not able to name them, but Joe said he would return and get the names. If in the meantime anybody can help, or can add any comments,  please get in touch with us!
